Alton Brown is a true food wizard. While some may know him as the host of Iron Chef America or Cutthroat Kitchen, his greatest work is, without a doubt, Good Eats. Good Eats is an educational cooking series that explains culinary science through visual aids, wacky characters, and a ton of food puns. In this depiction, I included his signature stand mixer and several yeast puppets.
I'm experimenting with a couple of new things on this project including mixing textures and rotating a non-symmetrical character. Making sure that the yeast puppets could open their mouths and pivot their heads and jaws regardless of the way their facing took a lot of work and null layers. This is also the first project I've done that features a moving mouth rig. While winter cat was able to meow, it was done through scaling a mouth image. This project features 12 mouth images and a slider that can transition between the mouths. This technique still needs some work, in my opinion, because I'd like to ease between mouths instead of just skipping from image to image. I'll probably be working on developing that technique in the upcoming week.
